About Brett Szemple:
Artist, photographer, and owner of Our-Wedding-Photographer. At the tender age of six, my lifelong interest in photography was aroused and soon became the family documentarian. By high school I was already assisting professional photographers. I earned my BFA from New Jersey City University. I then attended the acclaimed Missouri School of Photojournalism Workshop. I feel honored when couples entrust me to capture their event. My goal is to cumulatively piece together the magic of each moment, reflecting the story of two lives brought together by love. These are my core beliefs: photography sustains our memories and revitalizes our emotions every union is a profoundly significant pivotal point a great photographer is an unobtrusive keen observer blend seamlessly into the environment impeccable timing to capture âthe momentâ every detail has significance photographs are not mere documentary replicas of moments photographs are artistic impressions and interpretations of fleeting interactions. Creative fusion would be a way to describe my style where I utilize elements of photojournalism, fashion and traditional photography. The style is contemporary, edgy, sophisticated, and dynamic with an editorial feel. The coverage is responsive and comprehensive as the day unfolds. The imagery is distinctive, energetic, fun, and spontaneous â¦. timeless treasures. My experience spans two decades and has taken me around the country. The process of mastering my art and pushing the creative boundaries continues to be a daily process. When I am not behind the camera collaborating with couples to document their wedding youâll find me either in the studio creating clay or metal sculptures, planting a garden, cooking a meal, restoring the farm house or pursuing some other fine-art endeavors. I live with my two children on an old country farm in north central Pennsylvania. Each year I plant an organic garden. I love to cook for my family and guests exploring various cooking techniques; barbeque, smoking, wood fired brick oven. My home serves as an artist retreat to both accomplished and aspiring artists in all genres. Currently I am working towards the completion of my fine art book project Brides Across America.
About Josie Donatelli:
Photographer, mom, sister, daughter, friend and the owner of Captured Event Photography LLC. My first camera was a Minolta 201 (metal body) at the age of 15. I had to have it! I spent many of my junior high and high school days in the art department and photo lab where I learned to develop and print my own images. As cliche as it sounds, I knew my calling from a very young age.
I lived in Europe for a few years and I concentrated on digital paintings of the Austrian Alps. I had a one women show, by invitation only that ran for 6 months. My second of two solo exhibitions. Colorful Ausseerland marked the start of the Austrian County Fair. The Steirermark County Foto Club invited me to be an honory member and invited me to participate in other exhibitions. One show ran half a year in the Town Hall of Bad Aussee, Austria. My contribution: 3 digital paintings of the Twin Towers in NYC.
Once back in the US, I followed my long time desire to capture wedding memories for couples getting married. I love documenting real life and love through story telling with my images.
I am very passionate about everything I love; I love capturing heartfelt memories for people. One of my greatest compliments: âyour images have lifeâ. Non Profit: My photography has helped raise money for the Leslie McCarthy Family Fund and the Kyle Kramer Medical Fund.
